Eye of Horus Plaque

Horus was the falcon-headed god of the sky. His right eye was the sun, and his left eye was the moon. Ancient Egyptians believed that the sun and moon moved when Horus flew across the sky in falcon form. He was the son of Osiris and Isis. As a child, Isis kept him hidden from Set, who had murdered Osiris and was ruling over Egypt. She plotted to get rid of Set, and Horus became king. Pharaohs were said to be Horus in human form. When a pharaoh died, they flew into the sky in the form of a falcon and were united with the sun disc. The next pharaoh would then become Horus.
