Christopher Wren Bust

During the Great Fire of London, people were scared because there was no fire brigade to help fight the fire. The giant flames had to be put out by the people. They threw water from buckets onto the fire. Three days later the fire died. It was a great success. To celebrate, a man called Sir Christopher Wren and Doctor Robert Hooke, built a tall pillar called the Wren Monument.

A Monument is a statue that reminds people about important events that have happened. At the top is a sculpture of a fire. The monument is still in London today, near where the fire happened.

Superbly detailed small plaster bust approx 13cm tall.
